Why is this on now?

So, it’s two in the morning.  I’m bored, and flipping through the channels.  I don’t know why, but I stop on A&E.  Normally when that happens its something shiny that catches my eye and gets me watching.  This time, I have no idea of what it could have been.  It’s a show about cyberbullying.

Yup, cyberbullying.  It’s geared towards kids too.  I’m watching this show, and wondering what the hell is it doing on at this time of night?  I could understand it being on earlier in the day.  But two in the morning?  It’s preaching about how if something bad is happening to you on the internet, you should tell your parents about it.  It’s two in the morning.  What child is up at two in the morning?  And if they are, do you really think that their parents are the most responsible people in the world?  I’m not talking high school age kids, I’m talking junior high and elementary.  High school kids are going to be up whether you want them to be or not.

I’m not trying to bash the show.  I think that whomever produced and created the show should get a pat on the back.  I think it’s a great message they are sending out.  Learn about what your doing, realize that if it goes on the internet, it reflects on you.  Just like me making this post, anyone can see whatever gets posted to the net.  There is no privacy here.  It was also giving out information about how to prevent getting picked up by pedophiles, and again, kudos to the show and the people and organizations that were on it.  No, the fault lies with A&E.

What kind of shitty station are you?  Tonight, catch the Sopranos followed by an educational piece for your children.  Make sure they don’t miss this.  Give me a break.  Of course, after doing a bit of searching, I found out that the show originally aired in 2007, but it still has relevant information.  And it should be on earlier.

Any-who… I might actually make it to bed before four ton.. this morning… yeah right.

Meh.

About Skullnerd

I could tell you how long I've been on the internet, but I don't remember, or care. I could tell you that I love food, but I don't. I love certain types of food, but not all food. I could tell you that I love music, but I don't. I am a fan of certain artists, and the majority of popular music just pisses me off. I could tell you that I watch a lot of TV... actually, that one is true. Just not reality TV. That shit is boring. My current hobbies are trying to create things out of leather - and screwing them up horribly - and trying to build electronics - and failing miserably. As always, I read fantasy and science fiction. A lot. Anything else you don't need to know.
